Black and white portrait of a woman

Daniela is a Mexican-Spanish photographer, historian and visual researcher based in Mexico City. Her work unfolds in urban spaces, delving into architectural shapes and human traces to find beauty in the overlooked. She explores how cities can feel empty even when crowded, which becomes evident in her urban series.

As the daughter of immigrants, she has always navigated questions of belonging, and photography became her way of documenting the realities she encounters while moving through the cities that have shaped her perspective and her heart. This personal experience informs her approach to documentary photography, portraiture, and self-portraits.

She is a member of The Luupe collective and Specto Galería. Her works have been published in Marika Magazine, Top Posters Magazine, and ESTI Magazine. She participated in the international exhibition “Urban Poetry” from Allora Gallery.
